Moongate Design Studio

Big-studio standards.
Boutique focus.

Themed entertainment and experience design, across the United States, Japan, and South Korea.

01
Pedigree

The standard, learned firsthand.

Moongate was built by people who spent years inside the biggest names in global entertainment, from Universal to Disney. We worked where every idea has to survive a budget, a schedule, and a crowd, and where the standard for guest experience is set for the rest of the world. We saw how high that bar sits, and how rarely it reaches past the few who can afford it. Moongate exists to change that.

02
The Belief

World-class, within reach.

World-class experience design sits inside a handful of giant parks and a few global studios. The discipline, the standards, and the ambition stay behind enormous budgets and long timelines. We do not accept that. We built Moongate to bring that level of work to far more brands, places, and audiences, through pop-ups, location-based entertainment, licensor activations, and brand experiences.

03
How We Deliver It

Creative, business, market. Together.

I.
Creative built to perform.

The strongest creative does not come from a design team working in isolation. It comes from building the concept alongside the business case and the marketing direction at the same time. We never separate those three. The idea gets sharper when it has to earn its place commercially, and the business case gets stronger when the creative is genuinely compelling. We develop all three together, from day one.

II.
Both sides of the table.

Most consultancies lead with spreadsheets. Most studios lead with mood boards. We have sat on both sides. We protect the creative ambition that makes a project worth building, and the business discipline that makes it possible to build.

III.
Western roots, Asian fluency.

A great experience does not cross borders by accident. We are based across the United States and Asia, and we design with genuine fluency in both. We understand what audiences expect, how operators work, and how cultural nuance shapes the guest experience in each market we enter. A concept developed with us is built to land.

04
Founders

Design and delivery, together.

We started Moongate after years of working side by side, balancing creative direction against what a build and a budget will actually allow. That balance is still how we run every engagement.

The Studio Today

The right team, every time.

Moongate stays focused and selective. For every engagement, we build a team around the specific needs of the project, balancing creative direction, production expertise, and local market knowledge to match exactly what the client requires. The people on your project are chosen because they are the right fit for it, not because they were available. We carry a project from high-level concept through schematic and detailed design, hand it off to the general contractor for build, and stay on through installation with onsite oversight and field art direction.

We are not always the operator.
But we always design like one.

Moon Art Grounds is our own museum near Seoul, and our live proving ground. Before we recommend something to a client, we test it on real guests in a real venue. It is where we learn what pacing, hospitality, and emotional design actually feel like when we own the brief end-to-end.
